Emil Amos

Emil Amos

Emil Amos, world renowned as the drummer of illustrious experimental rock groups Om and Grails, and in the tweaked hip-hop tape-collage exploration of a lysergic and perverse style of head-music that is Lilacs & Champagne, along with his ever prolific solo career under the moniker Holy Sons. Home recording over 1000 songs since the Holy Sons’ inception in 1992, Amos has spent the better part of the last two decades honing his song writing and production skills over a wide swath of genres in a mission to capture his internal world sonically. Alongside amassing that gargantuan recording archive, he has been seeking out outré records the whole while, digging to the bottom of countless crates around the world on the dozens of tours he’s done with aforementioned projects.  Emil’s DJ sets are every bit as prodigious and preposterous as his sprawling body of recordings, where he shares his myriad influences and indulgences, making full evidence of his reverence for recorded sound plain.
